Lifetime Limited Warranty (For 800 Series Generators) / Limited Warranty (For Reservoirs) / All Other Products

HHOkitsdirect.com (and its parent company) with its principle place of business at 671 Willow Pass Rd #4, Pittsburg, CA 94565 warrant to the original purchaser that we will correct any defects in material or workmanship by either repair or replacement at our discretion of an open box generator of the same type based on the prorated schedule for the material, provided the customer prepays shipping to and from the shipper. This warranty lasts for the reasonable expected lifetime of the product starting on the purchase date. If the product is no longer sold, the difference price of the most comparable product may be requested.

Repairs are in the form of rebuilt electrodes, replaced gaskets (if deemed necessary by the technician performing warranty work), cleaning of internal plates (if deemed necessary by the technician performing warranty work), repair or replacement of broken parts internally or externally as it pertains to the operative parts of the generator, replacement of stainless plates (if deemed necessary by the technician performing warranty work).

Submitting a warranty claim:

A warranty claim can be submitted by emailing in photos or mailing in the generator along with your original order number and a description of how the issue happened (IE: A leak developed at the gaskets). At the discretion of HHOkitsdirect.com, mailing in the Generator or part(s) will be required. Approval or denial of the claim can take up to 30 business days from the date the Generator and/or photos are received. A replacement Generator does not reset or extend the warranty period. The warranty is not a money back guarantee. If upgraded materials or parts are available and the warranty is approved, we will offer those materials for an optional additional fee.

You can email the ORDER NUMBER, DESCRIPTION OF HOW THE ISSUE HAPPENED AND PHOTOS to support {AT} hhokitsdirect.com. Warranty claim must include the original order number, and is nontransferable.

Please include your original invoice in the box if you mail the generator in and a description. No walk in warranties are allowed as we must inspect the generator and disassemble it, which can take time.

Exclusions:

• The warranty does not cover warped/broken end plates or warped internal plates/broken retaining rings (e.g. from incorrect winterizing to prevent freezing of electrolyte), normal wear, road and weather soiling, fading, or stains from dirt, grease or pollutants.
• The warranty does not cover discoloration or cracking of the outside layer (if it does not affect the performance of the generator), or breakage resulting from dropping or mishandling the generator cover.
• The warranty does not include repair or replacement of generator or relevant kit parts, resulting from damage due to an accident, or theft/burglary/vandalism.
• HHOKitsDirect.com is not liable for damage to metal, painted surfaces, plastics, aluminum from salts arising from leaks developed by the generator and/or kit. Affected areas should be immediately neutralized by spraying or soaking with a solution of vinegar/water with a spoonful of detergent added until foaming stops. Then thoroughly washed and rinsed with fresh water.
• Warranty does not cover damage due to thermal runaway, melted/warped parts from over-current resulting in too high of amperage, melted/warped parts from fire, damage caused by faulty or incorrect wiring protocols or by-passed safety methods; damage to wiring/insulation, electronics, controller, fuse, relay
• Warranty does not cover damage to engine, vehicle, interior/external parts or persons.
• DO NOT over clock the generator with an overly dense mixture of electrolyte without proper safety controls to prevent overheating and thermal runaway, or attempt to operate the generator with a higher voltage or current than instructed.
• DO NOT work on generator while engine is running or while making modifications to the vehicle, or when the Generator is running.
• The warranty does not cover damage from abuse and misuse, or lack of regular maintenance of the generator. 
• The warranty does not cover damage due to running the generator dry with no or low water.
• The warranty does not cover damage to the cover by acts of God, humans, or animals whether domestic, wild, or otherwise. The generator must be properly utilized and maintained from the time of purchase. 
• The warranty does not cover any damage to the generator due to hail, slush, snow, road salts, Ice or freezing conditions.
• The warranty does not cover any damage to your vehicle due to use of mounting straps, screws, mounting bolts, plastic or metal fittings, or any other securing method.
• In the event your vehicle is sold or no longer in your possession the warranty is void and cannot be transferred or exchanged for an Generator kit for your new vehicle.
• This warranty does not protect against damages caused by the product, or the customer’s time and expense in getting the damage repaired. If the vehicle using the Generator kit is damaged, HHOkitsdirect.com is not liable to repair the vehicle under this warranty.
• The warranty does not include controller electronics, amp gauges, fuses, relays, wiring, hoses, clamps or brackets
• Generators purchased as used /open box do not include a warranty.
• The HHO kit and generator may be returned or exchanged within 30 days after receipt of the purchase for a refund or exchange, if the kit is found not to fit or customer cannot locate an installer, or deems it too difficult to install themselves. After this period, any issue will be under this warranty policy. No refunds will be given after this 30-day period.

EXAMPLES OF NEGLIGENT OR ABUSIVE USE:

Cuts, punctures, abrasions, or scores; Grommets pulled out or damaged; Threads cut, stretched, or burst; Burns, scorches, melted areas; Damage from exposure to excessive heat; Improper handling, such as dragging over damaging materials or over-stretching during installation; Damage from improper attachment to straps or using improper attachment devices; Exposure to chemicals such as solvents, petrochemicals, paints, acids, alkaline materials, or other substances which damage the materials; Use for any purpose other than as a car cover.

Exclusion of Other Remedies:

IN NO EVENT WILL HHOKITSDIRECT.COM BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, MULTIPLE, PUNITIVE, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY DEFECT IN THE PRODUCT(S) SUPPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR LOST PROFITS.

Exclusion of All Other Warranties, Express or Implied:

THE EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE IS THE ONLY WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO THE PRODUCT AND IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Subject to applicable law, in no event shall our liability exceed the purchase price of the cover.

Governing Law:

The validity, construction and enforcement of, and the remedies under, this limited warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Jurisdiction and venue shall properly lie exclusively in the State of California, in and for Contra Costa County, California, with respect to any legal proceedings arising from this limited, prorated warranty or use of the item.

Reasonable Expected lifetime of Generators:

800 Series Generator – Length of ownership of the vehicle by original purchaser, Length of ownership of the Generator by original purchaser - whichever comes first.

Basic / Standard Reservoir – 3 Years

Basic / Standard Dry Filter – 6 months (not covered under warranty as it is a wear item and must be replaced on a regular basis. Manufacturer defects of Dry Filters and containers only are covered for 60 days, and are recommended to be changed at 6-9 month intervals for best results.

0-6 months - 100%

6 months -12 months – 90%

1-2 years – 80%

2-3 years – 70%

3-4 years – 60%

4-5 years – 50%

5-6 years – 40%

6-10 years – 30%

10+ years – 20%

 Ultra Slim Reservoirs (does not cover leaks from hose attachment areas and clamps):

0-6 months – 100%

6 months – 12 months – 90%

1-2 years – 50%

2-3 years – 25% 

Basic Installation materials including Hoses, wiring, relays, fuses (does not include Digital Amp meters, PWM controllers, or EFIE/MAF, Diesel tuners)

EXCLUSIONS: Incorrect Installation, abraded hoses from heat or engine parts, melting from engine exhaust, burnt insulation, wiring, fuses, relays from over amperage or over-voltage conditions.

0-6 months – 100%

6 months – 12 months – 90%

1-2 years – 50%

2-3 years – 20%

 Accessories:

All add on accessories such as PWM controllers, EFIE/MAF tuners, Digital Amp Gauge, etc. come with a 90-day return period from the date of receipt. They do not come with any warranty beyond that and are not returnable for a refund after 90 days.
